January with Michael
-
Parsley for live crab, January 4. For sprinkling over them later - not to feed them.
-
A house for Otto Miller that Michael designed. Otto is a developer but he says he's going to live in this 13,000 sq ft castle, alone. Hmm. He also says he will listen to offers. January 9.
-
The back of the house. You can't see hear the huge pool and hot tub and built-in grilling area.
-
The first actual phone conversation with Dad, who loosened up and talked for an hour and a half, or longer. January 22.
-
Our first hike, up along the ridge, in Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve. We walked maybe 3 or 4 miles. January 23.
-
A wrinkled up tree of a tree.
-
Mr. Cool driving his BMW on skyline on a Sunday afternoon.
-
The sleep of the angels, smiling, tuckered out from the hike.
-
What beautiful artichokes. Too bad the soup sucked. January 24, Monday.
-
Art shot of artichokes. This is meant to show the careful close folds of the leaves. Some might say it is out of focus.
-
Late in the day on Tuesday, January 25. I do not believe I was drunk, but that the photographer caught me with half-open eyes.
-
Not a bad shot, really. Although this is revenge of the photographer-who-catches-you-with-closed-eyes.
-
Another in the series of the Smiling Sleeper.
-
Wednesday, January 26: Michael concentrates on his beloved VAIO. He is pretending to type with two hands.
-
Midnight, January 26: Michael seems to have fallen asleep with his glasses on.
-
Thursday, January 27: Michael attacks the laptop.
-
We had a delicious omelet for dinner.
-
Sunday, January 30: Michael makes Kaiserschmarn for brunch.
-
Marianne emerges from shower. She looks pained. I should say, I look pained.
-
A house in Hillsborough that Michael designed is on the market, so we stopped by the open house.
-
The study.
-
Another view of the study.
-
A look into the living room.
-
The living room unveiled. And here sadly my camera battery gave out.
